Cantor

Cantorial Soloist Lori Sumberg is a published liturgical composer, singer-songwriter and guitarist. She has served in several Reform, Reconstructionist and independent synagogues since 2005, recorded four studio albums of original folk-rock music and has a live High Holiday album.

Lori trained at the H.L. Miller Cantorial School at the Jewish Theological Seminary where she earned her Masters of Jewish Studies and Certificate in Pastoral Care and Counseling. She also holds a MA from the School of Education at Boston University. Lori is a Chaplain at Stamford Hospital and an educator at Larchmont Temple in New York. She resides in her hometown of Larchmont and has one son who is in college.
